Rigging services are provided by the NEC.
In addition to the cost of the NEC rigging services, there will be an advertising fee payable to Akabo Media for any rigging. This depends on the size of the item to be rigged. You must enquire with us before proceeding to contact the NEC.
To avoid disappointment on the day, please follow the process below.
- Submit stand plan (including rigging) to the organisers at robyn.dunne@akabomedia.co.uk
- Once approved by organisers, enquire with the NEC for a Rigging Enquiry Form through technicalsales@thenec.co.uk
- The NEC will contact the organiser to approve
- You will be invoiced an advertising fee by the event organiser (Akabo Media)
- You will be invoiced a rigging fee by the NEC
Please note, you can produce your own rigging material (banner, etc.) or have the NEC produce it. We recommend you use the NEC services to ensure compliance with the e-guide. If you are producing your own, please ensure you read the e-guide to avoid any additional fees.
If your rigging is custom-built/bespoke structure, it will be deemed complex and incur a Structural Engineer inspection at a charge. Custom-built/bespoke structures include items that have been constructed from non-modular materials, e.g., wooden structures and exhibits. For more information, please refer to the e-guide
